    HURĂ  Mihai

 

    Born in Filipeni, Bacău county, Romania, in 1952.

 

Master’s Degree in Public Management, awarded by the Academy for Economic Studies of Bucharest, the Faculty of Management.

Degree in economics awarded by the Academy for Economic Studies of Bucharest, the Faculty of Agriculture Economy.

Chartered accountant, C.E.C.C.A.R member, financial auditor, member of the Chamber of Auditors and taxation advisor, member of the Taxation Advisors’ Chamber.

Associated teaching staff member of the Academy for Economic Studies of Bucharest and of "Dimitrie Cantemir" University of Bucharest , in the period 1995-2006.

From 1975 until 1986, he was a financial and taxation inspector within the Ministry of Finances – State Financial Territorial Inspector’s Offices of Ilfov, Giurgiu and Bucharest.

Economist, Bucharest Municipality Council for Economic and Social Activity Control, in the period 1986–1989.

Between February and September 1990, he was  a senior inspector with the National Bank of Romania, Sector 6 Sub-Branch.

From 1990 until 1993, he was successively a manager and a general manager within the Labor Ministry, with competences in law drafting in the field of labor legislation and social protection and management of state pensions financing funds, farmers pensions and social rights.

Counselor  of Accounts, appointed by the Parliament of Romania for a six-year term of office, in the period 1993–1999.

Advisor of the Chairman of S.C. AGRAS S.A., in charge with insurance and re-insurance issues, between April and June 1999. 

In the period 1999-2008, he was successively a deputy general manager and manager in the Ministry of Public Finances and in the Ministry of the Economy and  Finances, within the Direction for Fiscal Legislation in the field of indirect taxation, being involved in the harmonization of the Romanian taxation legislation with the community legislation in the field.

Counselor of Accounts, appointed  once more by the Parliament of Romania in 2008, for a six-year term of office.
