Degree in economics, specialization Accounting and Agrarian Economy, awarded by Babeş–Bolyai University of Cluj–Napoca, Faculty of Economics..
Chartered accountant, expert appraiser, financial auditor and fiscal advisor.
Lecturer at Babeş–Bolyai University of Cluj–Napoca, Faculty of Economics and Business Management.
In the period 1983–1988, economist – Oradea Spirits Enterprise and between 1988 and 1990, chief accountant, with the economic state and cooperative association of Sălard, Bihor county.
Manager of the Bihari Naplo Press Publishing House of Oradea, between 1990 and 1991.
In the period 1991-1998, he was a general manager of the Spirits Enterprise of Oradea, and between 1998 and 2000, he was a secretary of state in the Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuff.
M.P. with the Senate of Romania, successively a member of the Budget, Finances and Banks Commission, the Commission for Agriculture and Foodstuff Safety, the Economic Commission, the Privatization Commission, from December 2000 until November 2008, and during the last two years, a Secretary of the Senate, member of the Permanent Bureau.
Counselor of Accounts, appointed by the Parliament of Romania in 2008, for a nine-year mandate.
Author of four books and co-author of nine books. He published 31 papers, articles and studies, in circulated magazines and in the volumes of the scientific events held at home and abroad. He delivered speeches on economic, financial and accounting topics at various conferences, seminars and scientific sessions.
