VORNICEANU   Marius          Born in Humele, Arges county, in  1954.

Doctor’s degree in economics, awarded by the Academy for Economic Studies of Bucharest.

Degree in economics awarded by “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi, Faculty of Finances and Accounting. Graduate of the National College for Defense. 

Graduate of post-graduate training course on Home and International Financial and Fiscal Foreign Currency Relations, delivered by the Academy for Economic Studies of Bucharest (1984) and of the training courses in the field of international taxation, organized by the OECD at Vienna  (1992), by the USA Treasury at Budapest (1995), by the Hungarian Ministry of Finances, at Budapest (1997), by the French Ministry of Finances in Paris (1999), by the Higher  School of  Ludwisburg, Germany (1999), by the German Federal Academy for Finances, at  Koln (2001), as well as of the training course organized within the framework of the Bilateral Cooperation Program concluded between Romania and the Netherlands (2004).

Lecturer, at „Spiru Haret”  University of Bucharest, Faculty of Finances and Banks.

Since 1991, he was a university staff member at „Iosif Constantin Drăgan” University, the Academy for Economic Studies of Bucharest, „Titu Maiorescu” University and „Spiru Haret” University.

Chartered accountant, member of C.E.C.C.A.R., ANEVAR  expert appraiser and taxation advisor, member of the Fiscal Advisors’ Chamber of Romania.

In the period 1978-1986, he worked as a taxation inspector within the Ministry of Public Finances – State Financial Territorial Inspector’s Office of Bucharest.

Between 1986 and 1993, he was successively head of taxation control, head of office and manager within the Ministry of Public Finances, in charge of the coordination of the financial and taxation control activity, with the Department  of State Revenue and the General Direction for State Financial Control.

From 1993 until 1998, he was deputy general commissioner of the central Fraud Squad.

In the period 1998-2008, he coordinated the taxation control activity, in the capacity as a deputy general manager, deputy executive manager, executive manager, deputy general manager and manager within the Ministry of Public Finances.

Counselor of  Accounts, appointed by the Parliament of Romania in 2008, for a six-year term of office.

Author of papers in the financial and taxation domain and of articles published in specialized magazines.
